Research: I was fortunate to undertake my research under the guidance of Professor the Lord
Darzi of Denham. At the time St Mary's NHS Trust and Imperial College had the only
open configuration Interventional MRI Unit in the country. My research
involved evaluating the potential of this technology with regards to intra-operative MRI
guidance of surgical procedures, development of novel imaging techniques for the
diagnosis of surgical conditions, and the development of MR guided thermotherapy
techniques. Due to its pioneering and unique nature, this work resulted in several
international collaborations, many paper presentations in the UK and abroad, and a
number of published papers.
